Description
The journal of China Oncology (ISSN 1007-3639, CN 31-1727/R) started in 1991, is a peer-reviewed monthly publication, integrating scientific information from global sources for all oncologic specialties. It is an open access monthly published journal in Chinese and English. The competent authorities of China Oncology is the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. China Oncology is hosted by one of the most prestigious comprehensive cancer centers, the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center.

At present, China Oncology is indexed in the following most powerful database: SCOPUS, DOAJ, Chemical Abstracts (CAS), EMBASE, EBSCO, Japan Science and Technology Database (JST), Index of Copernicus International (ICI), EuroPub and Western Pacific Region Index Medicus (WPRIM), Ulrich's Periodical Directory, Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), A Guide to the Core Journal of China, Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database (CSTPCD), Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED), Chinese Medical Current Content (CMCC), Chinese Medical Citation Index (CMCI),Chinese Biological Abstracts (CBA), GoOA, COAJ, Level A of Fudan University degree and Graduate Education Domestic Journals Guideline, Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation (RCCSE), World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report of Scientific and Technological Periodicals (up to 2024). Besides, China Oncology continuously acquired Certificate of Outstanding S&T Journals of China (F5000) since 2017.
Besides, China Oncology achieved lots of prizes during the past years. According to the latest statistical data in 2019 released by Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), the impact factor of China Oncology in Chinese Journal Citation Reports (Extended Version) was 4.903. Meanwhile, Chinese Journal Citation Report (Core Version) data showed that the core impact factor ranked fourth among the journals on oncology (IF=3.471). Besides, the IF of China Oncology ranked 2nd in oncologic subject in Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD). China Oncology is now in a leading position in Chinese Journals in China.
Aims and scope
As a leading comprehensive oncology journal in China, the objective of China Oncology is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of information among oncologic disciplines.
China Oncology achieves this objective by publishing original research contents on basic medicine, clinical medicine, epidemiology, etc., with the columns of research articles, editorial comments, review, guidelines and case report. In addition, China Oncology also publishes special themed issues that present solicited review articles of current interest authored by globally recognized clinical oncologists and scientists. The special themed issues are published at least 2 times annually.
