China Oncology is indexed by World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) 2023 Version
The research results of the research project "Development of the World Influence Index of Science and Technology Journals (2023 Edition)" by the China Association for Science and Technology, the "World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) (2023 Edition)" (hereinafter referred to as the "WJCI"), are jointly produced by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (abbreviated as ISTIC), CNKI, Tsinghua University Library, Wanfang Data Co., Ltd., Society of China University Journals and so on, it is a journal evaluation report that reflects the results of world journal competition on the same platform.
The WJCI Report determines the number of journal sources for each country and region based on their R&D investment, research paper output, number of researchers, journal size and level. It selects 15555 excellent journals from over 60000 scientific and technological academic journals currently published worldwide as the source journal of the WJCI, including 3208 multilingual and non-English journals.
The total citation frequency of Chinese journals is 4.0551 million times, of which 1.5241 million are cited by international journals, accounting for 37.58%. 321 Chinese journals have entered the Q1 region, accounting for 7.73% of global Q1 journals and 18.12% of Chinese source journals; A total of 706 Chinese journals were selected for the Q1 and Q2 journals of various disciplines, including 21 disciplines with more than 10 Q1 and Q2 journals, representing the relatively well-developed academic fields of science and technology journals in China. The WJCI Report aims to establish a new journal evaluation system to comprehensively evaluate the publishing and dissemination services provided by scientific journals to global scientific and technological innovation activities, as well as their academic influence. The WJCI Report provides a reasonable evaluation system for scientific and technological journals to achieve the major task of cultivating world-class scientific and technological journals in China.
