Abstract: Metastatic breast cancer (MBC) is considered incurable with poor outcome. There is a subset of patients with oligometastatic breast cancer (OMBC) having limited metastases in number and size which can be potentially cured. The disease progression is expected to be delayed with survival improvement in the subgroup when patients are treated with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) combined with systemic therapy. Problems currently deserved to be discussed include how to find the true OMBC, which metastases to be targeted and what kind of systemic therapy to be combined with.
